Wine Wall, Lollo Rosso

A novel wine storage solution in the form of a wine wall for Lollo Rosso restaurant in Morpeth.

Project ID: 6616

Lollo Rosso Restaurant in Morpeth is in the premises of a former ironmongers, John Smail & Sons. The building is a prominent feature on Morpeth’s Bridge Street and valued for its local history. The new restaurant interior scheme respected its industrial heritage and retained exposed timber and structural steels.

In addition to the feature staircase in the restaurant, Bisca also provided the wine rack. We designed, manufactured and installed the “wine rack” in the form of a feature wall and room divider.

The wine wall is free-standing, and fixed to the floor by timber floor shoes matching the flooring.

The cantilevered bottle holders provide a decorative and functional solution to wine storage as well as a talking point for diners.

Staff find the bottles easy to slot in. As part of the project Bisca implemented a solution to restrict removal of bottles by anyone without a key.

A wine wall is also fantastic in a smaller scale for a domestic situation – why not consider it as part of your build or refurbishment?
